Habitat for Humanity Announces 2022 Spring Build Plans & New Family Recruitment Opportunity

(Marion, IN – November 4, 2021) Habitat for Humanity of Grant County Inc. (Habitat) is pleased to announce the location of the 56th home in Grant County. “We are very excited to continue building in the South Marion/H.O.P.E. neighborhood with our 2022 build at 36th and Landess Street in Marion. This area is a part of the 3-year strategic plan that Habitat is currently working through and we are thrilled to be able to make a larger impact in one neighborhood by building 4 adjacent homes.” – Jesse Harrison, Board President. This project is anticipated to break ground in late Spring/early Summer of 2022.

Currently, Habitat is seeking families in Grant County who are interested in applying for this project. For a family to qualify for the program they must meet three criteria: the ability to pay, a need for housing, and a willingness to partner. Families and community members interested in the program are invited to attend one of the informational sessions below. During the session, Habitat will share its mission, how the selection process and program works, what it means to be a Habitat homeowner, and answer any questions about eligibility.

Due to COVID uncertainty Habitat is offering in-person as well as virtual sessions. To view the schedule and register for a session please visit http://www.granthabitat.com/infosession or call 765.662.1552 to reserve your spot.
